What’s on Manchester? May 2024

May is here and it’s almost as if spring has finally arrived. With temperatures now approaching the high 10s – low 20s, you might be considering going outside and, well, actually doing something.

So here’s a quick summary of what’s going on in Manchester in May.

Robin/Red/Breast – 15th to 26th May

From Maxine Peake, Imogen Knight and Sarah Frankcom comes Robin/Red/Breast – a cult horror classic sure to send shivers down your spine.

A retelling of John Bowen’s 1970 classic Robin Redbreast, this immersive stage show aims to replicate the dread and fear of the cult TV play. And to do so, the trio have teamed up with acclaimed electronica artist Gazelle Twin – and are also accompanied by Booker Prize-shortlisted writer Daisy Johnson.

With themes of fertility sacrifice and paganism, we’re sure Robin/Red/Breast will keep you on the edge of your seats.
